CUE DESIGN WORK
I’m really proud of the layouts from my first job as a Designer. I worked as one for Cue Media an independent media organisation that features multimedia coverage of the annual National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. I got an opportunity to be on the Design team in my second year.
STUDENT NEWSPAPER PROJECT
I had to create a mock student newspaper (from scratch)Â for a design assignment. All images and articles included are sourced from websites online. All the layouts, fonts and other design elements are original.
GROCOTT'S MAILÂ REDESIGN
For this project we had to completely redesign a local newspaper in Grahamstown.
TECHHEAD MAGAZINE
I had to create a niche magazine that was targeted to a specific interest. I chose to focus on tech. Once again all sourced images and articles are not my own but the design is.
ABOUT ME
Journalist / Graphic Designer
I’m a Journalism student currently studying at Rhodes University. I create meticulously designed graphics and visual media that illustrate ideas and experiences via visual and textual content. In our current media saturated world image is everything. Design is the universal principle that governs all mediated imagery. There is not a single poster, magazine, website, graphic, book cover, commercial or print that has not be designed to elicit a particular effect.
